When your twist gets old, but you still wanna rock it, then it’s time for an updo! There are ton of styles out there to experiment with..you just have to be willing to try them! What I like most about twist out updos is that they can go from an elegant to a rocker look. The one that I am featuring in this blog is done by iknowlee. She is rocking a very retro look done by pinning up an old twist out.
She is using a roll, tuck, and pin method. A method that only requires some bobby pins and your old twist out! She sections off each section and then twists it, roll it up, and pin it! She starts with the back, then she progressively pins the sides. The middle and front top part is left hanging out.
The only suggestion that I would add is to remoisturize before pinning your tresses up. It’s all about keeping that hair thoroughly moisturized and doing it on a consitent basis. Avoid dryness at all costs, even when wearing protective styles!
With this method, you can try different variations. It’s all about experimentation.
