A great and very popular way to wear natural hair of course are twist outs. But I’ve noticed that the style actually looks better when the twists are flat twists.
The overall finished result of the flat twist out is very sleek and classic. The curls are also more defined with the flat twist out. I especially like the way that seemly healthy hair’s finished hair looks!
She started with freshly washed hair. The next step is to section the hair off. Her suggestion is to use a conditioner of any choice that you can leave in. She also applied some Hot Six Oil before twisting. For larger waves or curls, you would need fewer twists. She only used three twists, which resulted in larger waves.
After flat twisting the hair, you can use a hat or a bonnet. The hat would probably be better for keeping the twist laying flat.
When taking the twists down, I suggest being sure not to manipulate or separate your twists into too many sections.
Maintaining this style, as with any twist out is simple. Just re moisturize, seal, and re-twist. You can keep this style looking great as long as it is moisturized.
