Dont wear longer than 2-4 weeks. Its never a protective style. Your scalp is the most important thing when it comes to healthy hair and growth. You scalp needs to stay moisturized and stay Clean. I got alot of bald spots for weaving and now i use micro bead extensions they are like fusion but using tiny little beads. My hair grows like crazy and they last about 5 months and are do it yourself. And yes its great for Af. Am hair. You can wash, condition, perm, curl, straighten and dye. The best invested i have ever made. I get my extensions online at Qlassy Hair, they are very inexpensive compared to salon pricing. and 100% remy human hair. I got rid of my weaves! Deep condition it, seal and moisturize it. Remember the hair has to be cared for and just because you have a weave does not mean that the hair is automatically caring for itself.
