I dont mean to sound harsh, but the only way that you will be able to get rid of the dandruff and itching for good is to stop perming/relaxing your hair altogether. I had relaxed hair for about the same amount of time that you did, 20+ years. I would wash my hair sometimes twice a week and still have dandruff and itching. I used dandruff shampoos, etc. Once I stopped relaxing my hair 2 years ago. my dandruff completely stopped. I have no scalp problems at all and I wash my hair once a week with a good sulfate free shampoo. Dont be afraid to go natural. Natural afro hair is beautiful and I promise you will feel so much better about yourself once you try going natural, There are lots of information on the web about how to take care of natural hair.
