Candance from Mason, TN asked:
What are some good minerals or vitamins that promote black hair growth? Is there a single one that works best for growth?
Candance, the first thing to remember is that black hair, like any other hair responds to certain minerals. The hair growth rate can be enhanced by specific minerals and vitamins. The first thing that you may want to consider is a good hair vitamin. These vitamins contain a variety of researched ingredients that not only promote hair growth but healthy hair as well.
Some of the common denominators in hair vitamins that have proven to show results are:
Biotin, Vitamin B6 and Vitamin B12, serum ferritin, and total iron, and serum zinc.
Fish oil supplements are also known for promoting overall hair health and sheen.
There is no single hair vitamin or mineral that will do the trick.
Candance, the most important thing to remember is to eat right! A diet rich in leafy greens, which contain the minerals and vitamins mentioned can work just as well as a hair supplement or better. Keep in mind that vitamins aren’t absorbed into your bloodstream 100%, so a good diet is essential.
Have a Happy Hair Growing Experience by enjoying a Healthy Lifestyle!!
