A lace front wig is simply a wig that is actually real hair that is placed together by a piece of lace in the front of the hairline. This wig is worn by gluing it to the front of the forehead, and can be hidden with makeup. It can be a custom fit, and then trimmed or styled how ever you like. This type of wig can be styled with parts in the scalp which will not be noticeable. It is nearly impossible to tell that it is a wig when it has been properly placed on the head. While they have been very popular with celebrities, they have also offered a great service for those who suffer from alopecia. A high quality wig like the stars wear can cost around twenty thousand dollars and up!  A good wig can be purchased by the ordinary wearer, though for around 2 to 3 thousand dollars. You do want to shy a way from a really good deal. These wigs can be found for much less, but they are of poor quality and everyone will know what you are hiding.

As with anything there are imperfections in this type of wig. The application is key to having an unrecognizable wig job. If the glue is placed in the wrong spot facial expressions can cause the hairline to crack and be revealed. They care also not water proof so excessive sweating is bad when wearing a wig.

I suggest that when shopping around for lace fronts, that you do your research, and choose a reputable company with good credentials. A lace front is all that you need to spice up your look or lengthen your hair instantaneously without damaging your own hair.
