Jamaican Black Castor Oil Lavender Scent Review

Jamaican Black Castor Oil Lavender Scent Review

Though I have only been using the Jamaican Black Lavender Scented Castor Oil for about a week, I already love it!  Let’s just say that I see what all of the “buzz” has been about.  I love the consistency of it and the feel.  I even enjoy the scent (and I am no huge fan of lavender scented things); I’m not sure what the unscented Jamaican Black Castor Oil smells like, but I know I can appreciate this one.  I must admit, since I received the Jamaican Black Lavender Scented Castor Oil, I have pretty much disregarded the previously beloved Home Health Castor Oil.  Besides the fact that I am almost out of the Home Health Castor Oil, the JBCO allows for easier application and I would like to isolate the results I achieve from using the JBCO exclusively.

Quick Assessment of the Jamaican Black Castor Oil Lavender Scent

  • Soaks into the scalp
  • Absorbs Quickly
  • Pleasant Scent
  • Great Sealant for Moisture
  • Nice Consistency (Not too thick, yet not watery)

Thus far, I would have to say that it is truly wonderful.  I give it a 5/5.  Release your inhibitions and don’t hesitate to try it.

Ingredients:

Jamaican Black Castor Oil, Lavender

Can I add an essential oil to jbco to kill the ash smell?

    Hi Bernadette.

That’s what was done to this..the lavender scent was added in by the manufacturer to dilute the natural smell. Have you tried this one? If you don’t like it, I’m sure it’s safe to add in essential oil (of course in the right proportions), but do your research and make sure you are picking the safest essential oil for yourself.

I have used the lavender Jamaican Black Castor and I do love it. Howev er, the smell is still thickly ashy! I simply mix it with another sweeter smelling oil and its fine. I used it a long time without mixing it, but if you sweat or wear wig caps often you will be able to smell it a little. I give the product an A+ because it does work. It filled my edged in that had been thinkked out by wearing braids. You cannot tell they were thin at all. My eyebrows have grown from it as well. I put a little on them before bedtime. Next i want to see how it makes lashes grow, but havent started it yet.
