I havent had a perm for three months and I am already loving in. Normally I would get a perm twice a year but I’ve decided to go completely natural. All my friends love it and so do i! I just need to find some products that will help with my crazy, thick hair. I haven’t chopped off the relaxed hair I’m just doing the twists at night and taking them out the next day. Its easy to do and doesnt reuire going to the salon, you can do it yourself! I go to the salon for conditioning but I would like to have my own products at hand. If anyone has any suggestions for products I will greatly appreciate it!

Don’t get a weave if your hair is already weak, it will most likely cause permanent baldness. Traction Alopecia is a condition that is from wearing weaves. A lot of black women have to wear weaves now because they are permanently bald! Young lady, please don’t get involved in that out of control vanity it will cost you a life time of baldness. Make the best of what God gave you.

You have done a wonderful thing for your God Mother, May God bless you! In my opinion what you did is the only reason for a woman to wear some other woman’s hair. Try some short styles, I think it looks nice on women if it is well done.

The crazy part is this woman is saying that you can wash your hair under the weave. No you can't. If you hair is braided underneath your weave then the only way to adequately wash your REAL hair is to take that God awful weave out. If you get you real hair wet underneath your weave there is a good chance you will develop fungus and mildew underneath your beautiful weave of some other woman's hair from China or India. smh!

I just started the transition of going back natural. I am from the islands and have an idea of how to manage my hair, but since it is thick and long I am trying not to give up. So far it had been 4 months and I have been braiding my own hair through the process. Once a month I take it loose for a week and condition, do the cholesterol treatment; daily moisturizer spray. So far so good, it has been coming along great!
