Clean & Clear Deep Cleansing Astringent Review
Clean & Clear Deep Cleansing Astringent Review
When you have oily skin, just getting it to cooperate is a daily struggle. Oily skin is more prone to acne and breakouts. Having oily skin has been a challenge for me every since I can remember. I would even carry around those little red oil absorbing sponges to maintain an oil free appearance, and would find myself patting on my face more than I would like to admit. In my early twenties, I felt blessed to enjoy several years of oil free skin. However, the hormones kicked in upon turning thirty and it was back to my oily skin again. With it came a few pimples here and there; so I was determined to find that perfect product to fight oil as well as the breakouts. After discovering The Clean & Clear Astringent and incorporating it into my skincare regimen, I started to notice that my oily skin was becoming closer to normal. This product works by treating the acne causing oils and bacteria with Salicylic Acid acne medication. It also contains 41% alcohol.
The way that I use it is to cleanse my skin with a liquid cleanser and blot it dry. Don’t rub your face hard, as it will really burn when you apply the astringent. Then I dampen a cotton ball with the Clean & Clear and apply it to my face, paying special attention the T-Zone area. It burns quite a bit at the first few times, until you get used to it. But after several days, the burn feels more like a tingle, (which is how I know it’s working) I allow it to dry, (it’s fast drying as it contains alcohol) and then I apply a light moisturizer formulated for oily skin. After about a week of this skin care regimen, I noticed visible clearer skin and fewer breakouts. I even had complete strangers inquiring about my skin!
Another usage of this astringent for me is when pimples have already come to surface. I apply it directly to the pimple with a cotton ball for about two days and on the third day, the pimple has dried out without a blemish to remember it by.
The only warning that I have about Clean & Clear Deep Cleansing Astringent is if you have sensitive skin, you may want to purchase the sensitive skin formula as it is not as strong, and doesn’t contain as much alcohol. The smell is pretty loud, but it does not bother me. Also, I do not advise to use it more than once a day. I use it during my nighttime regimen. I think over usage of this astringent would cause dry and flaky skin. I hope that Clean & Clear Deep Cleansing Astringent works for your skin as it did mine! J
