Aphogee Keratin and Green Tea Restructurizer Review

keratin & green tea restructurizer

For those of us who have been programmed to think – heat is the enemy – think again!  Though I had been staying away from direct heat for a while, I tried it after hearing so much about this product.  I must admit it, blowing out my hair had never seemed so care free until I began using the Aphogee Keratin & Green Tea Restructurizer!  Though I have only used it a few times, I must say that it only takes once (if used correctly) to see the results of this product!  I noticed reduced breakage on an instant, and I yielded better results with straightening, as opposed to using only a cone based serum.

Functions:

  • Heat Protectant
  • Protein Reconstructor
  • Porosity Balancer (over time)
  • Shine Enhancer
  • Breakage Reducer
  • Strengthener
  • Smoothes out Hair Shaft
  • Heat touch ups in between shampooing (thanks Vermelha bhp forum)

Keep in Mind:

  • Don’t use as Basic Leave In – it works best with heat, even if you use a hooded dryer or some other form of indirect heat (warming it in your hands first will help to activate it on contact)
  • Don’t use Exclusively to Flat Iron the Hair - since it is water based (see ingredients) it works best for the blow out.  However you may utilize a minimal amount for the straightening process by rubbing a small amount in ur hands first then applying it and a smoothing shine serum to the strands before straightening…this will correct any issues.
  • Spraying too Much – may lead to stiff hair, do not soak the hair in it, but use enough to coat the strands and comb it through (with a wide tooth/seamless comb) for even distribution
  • Works best w/o applying excessive products prior to use – that way you will not infuse cones (which most conditioners have) into the hair, which will block the keratin from bonding within the hair shaft.

The product may be purchased at your neighboring beauty supply or online for roughly $6.99.  For those who seek to use heat for styling, or if you just wanna infuse a bit more protein into your strands – give it a try!  More than likely you will not be disappointed.  Happy Healthy Heat Styling!
